Terms of use

These terms apply when you message First Love Church or its pastors on WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger, and when you use the Pastoral Assistant portal. By using either, you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your information.

What the assistant is

The assistant answers on behalf of our pastors. Many replies are written by AI, and pastors can read conversations and step in. It offers encouragement, prayer, Bible teaching, and books and messages by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills.

It is not a substitute for a doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or mental health professional, and it can make mistakes. Please don’t rely on it alone for important decisions.

In an emergency

If you or someone else is in danger, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital or police station. Don’t wait for a reply here.

Messages from us

We message you only if you wrote to us first or agreed to hear from First Love Church. That can include replies, reminders, follow-ups a pastor asked for, and invitations to services and events. Reply STOP at any time to stop them. Your mobile network may charge you for data.

Using the service properly

  • Don’t send abusive, threatening or unlawful content, spam, or other people’s private information without their permission.
  • Don’t try to disrupt the service or get the assistant to do something harmful.

We may stop replying to anyone who does.

Books and messages

Books, sermons and other materials by Bishop Dag Heward-Mills are protected by copyright. The download links we send are for your personal use. Please don’t sell or republish the materials.

Pastors and staff using the portal

  • Accounts are only for people First Love Church has invited. Keep your password private and don’t share your account.
  • Conversations are pastoral and confidential. Use them only to care for the people involved, and don’t copy or share them outside the church’s care.
  • Only add contacts who have agreed to hear from First Love Church on WhatsApp, as you confirmed when you joined.
  • Access is recorded, and we may suspend an account that is misused.

WhatsApp and Messenger

Your use of WhatsApp and Messenger is also covered by Meta’s terms. We are not responsible for how those apps work.

Availability

We provide the service free of charge and as it is. We may change, pause or stop it at any time, and replies may sometimes be delayed.

Liability

As far as the law allows, First Love Church is not liable for any loss that comes from using the service or relying on its replies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.

Changes

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page.
